Back in 2011, John wrote a new Mass setting for the Junior Choirs of Leeds Cathedral and it has become regular repertoire since then. This morning, the feast of Christ the King, it was broadcast live for Sunday Worship on BBC Radio 4, from the chapel of Leeds Trinity University. The Mass setting, for upper voices and organ, was originally commissioned by Lucy Haigh, who directed the choirs of Leeds Cathedral in today’s broadcast. To celebrate this radio premiere, Shorter House is publishing the sheet music, called simply The Leeds Mass
