Oxford-based chamber choir, Commotio, is giving the premiere performance of John’s setting of the poem ‘As kingfishers catch fire’ by Gerard Manley Hopkins:

St. John The Evangelist, Iffley Road, Oxford
7.30pm Saturday 8 June 2013

The choir is also performing Britten’s thrilling Sacred and Profane and other works including Cecilia McDowall’s ‘Joy and Woe’ and ‘Marriage to my Lady Poverty’ – a lovely new work by Bob Chilcott.
