Premiere in Australia

The Tudor Choristers, under their new director Dr Kathleen McGuire, are giving the southern hemisphere premiere of John’s Ave Maria. Scored for SATB, this motet is a homage to Josquin and his sublime Ave Maria (Virgo serena). The concert, entitled Hosanna!, is a celebration of sacred music, old and new. The centrepiece of the concert is the Mass in G minor by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
