Concert World Premiere of new collaborative work, O Sacrum Convivium à 8

Over the last couple of years, John has been writing regularly with the percussionist and artist, Teena Lyle. This has produced an exciting, lyrical and soulful Mass setting for SATB and organ (Missa Brevis: Petrus et Orbis) and, more recently, an 8-part a cappella motet O Sacrum Convivium. On Good Friday this year, the motet had its first liturgical performance during mass at Leeds Cathedral. Now the new piece will have its world premiere public performance in Seattle, USA in two concerts by the choir Vox16 under its director Markdavin Obenza. The program features works by Muhly, Pärt and Górecki.
