Missa Petrus et Orbis on Radio 3

John wrote this mass setting with percussionist and singer Teena Lyle back in 2015 as part of a collaborative project called Polymodal. Scored for SATB and organ, the mass was recorded at St Albans Abbey early in 2016, with Tom Winpenny on the organ, and Matthew Berry conducting.

The Gloria received it’s first broadcast on BBC Radio 3 on 20 September 2020 (available here on BBC sounds for a month beginning at 1:32:07) during Sarah Walker’s delightfully eclectic Sunday Morning show.
